200 Club August Draw

The August Draw of the Friends of Tournament 200 Club took place during a Development Day at Church Wilne recently. For August there were 104 Ticket Holders and we already have at least one more for September.
The results were:

1st prize of £390 went to Lee Jackson, number 82.
2nd prize of £260 went to Karine Emmett, number 51
3rd prize of £130 went to Neal Critchley, number 120

Congratulations to our prize winners.

200 Club Update

The August draw for the 200 Club Lottery will take place in the next week or so and we are pleased to announce that we have broken through our 100 Ticket holders target with 104 in the next draw. This means that for every month through the rest of this year we will add £1,820 to our funds after lottery prizes. A big welcome to our new participants and thanks to all of you that make this possible……and good luck in future draws. The monthly prizes are now £780 and for the Double Up month will be £1,560.
This year the Tournament Ball is a week or so earlier than usual to allow some people to attend who will then be zapping off to Chile for the 35+ World Championships at the end of November.
So we have decided that the October draw will be done at the Ball on 17th November for this years Double Up prizes. So if you have been in the 200 Club since the June draw any winnings will be doubled. So please think about coming along. Last year we had a Ball if you will excuse the pun.

Friends of Tournament 200 Club Update

As we have now reached the magic number of 100+ tickets at least for the August draw we thought it was an appropriate time to update you all on the Friends of Tournament achievements so far.
The 200 Club Lottery stated in January 2017 with 35 ticket holders and has grown month on month to at least 102 for the August 2018 draw.
As a reminder the results of the draw are published each month on the BWSW Website, (www.bwsw.org.uk), the Tournament Waterskiing website (www.tournamentwaterskiing.org.uk) and our Friends of Tournament Facebook page. The monthly draw is videoed and normally takes place in the first 10 days of the month for the previous month.
The 200 Club has raised a total of £31,325 since the start and paid out £9,667.50 in prizes. So this together with some donations, sale of badges and money raised at last years Tournament Ball has left us with available funds of £25,841.77.
There have been 57 prizes so far and two people have won four prizes each, two have won three times, and seven have won twice. Some people are born lucky. Several winners have used their winnings to buy a second ticket.

We paid out £5,550.00 in 2017 supporting 22 skiers who represented GBR at World and European events. In 2018 the money has gone towards running six Development Days, three Squad Training Days and each GBR Skier attending this years World and European Championships will receive £300 towards their travel and other costs. This will be a cost of around £14,225.
Our aim is that 50% of the monies raised will be used for Development activities and 50% to support Team Travel and Training through individual grants.
The grants are paid directly to the skiers concerned with a covering letter explaining where the money has come from.
I hope you all agree that you are making a positive difference by your participation in the 200 Club..
Our thanks go to the clubs that have run the Development Days and to Dams Watersports at South Lake for hosting the Squad Training Days.

Please help us to sign up more members and as one suggestion why not see if your Club would buy a ticket. Sign Up forms are available on the Resources page so please help us find new participants and move us towards the 200 number.
